He Said We Said She Said was a brief where we needed to make a visual representation of a conversation we had overheard. I decided to do mine on a conversation had between my family during the COVID-19 lockdown where me and my sister had got back from the supermarket. My aim for this piece was to make it very bold and busy almost like a warning/caution sign fro COVID-19.
Final Piece
What You Dont Know was a brief where we were to look at problems that are overlooked in our society. I looked at the 'trolling' that happens to celebrities. I wanted to make a piece of work to try and represent and show to people how this harassment and bullying actually makes these people feel as they are only human. I did a shoot so I could experiment and use my own first hand imagery when it came to designing the final piece.
For this project we were given a random book from the Bristol City Library. The book I had was called 'Ship Dioramas' this was about model boats. After collecting our books we had to do some in-depth research on the topic and things we relate it with. At the end of the project we were too make an outcome that we interpret this book with as a multi-page publication. Initial ideas I had about this b
For this brief we were to visually represent a physical or mental journey we had been on. As I did this brief over COVID-19 I wanted to base it around that. Everyday during lockdown I went on what I liked to call my 'Mental Health Walk'. I decided to take photos of things that normally would not be appreciated to the everyday person but compositions, lighting, contrasting colours etc that caught my eye. I also wanted to represent the steps of the journey that weren't clearly represented through the photos like viewpoints, churches and mileposts. I got inspiration for the journey line from Hamish Fultons 'trekking In time'.
